THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM — The winter
sky in
Brockton, Mass. is quite deceptive (see the next picture).
THE STORM — The infamous "blizzard
of 1978"
shut the entire state down for three days. This
shot, looking at the neighbor's house from my
front door, shows the quickly narrowing gap
between the snow hanging off the roof and piling
up on the bushes. The storm eventually dumped
more than 37 inches onto my driveway.
